How to Apply
You can apply for accommodation in Aalborg, only after you have received a letter of admission or a conditional admission letter.
Please note that you are only entitled to accommodation via the International Accommodation Office if you enroll in courses and participate as an active student at the University of Aalborg.
Remember to pay the pre-paid deposit in order to complete the application form. The application will not be processed without a pre-paid deposit. Payment details for pre-paid deposit is to be found here.
If you have been away on an internship, you need to reapply, and thus pay the deposit again.
If you have been away on a traineeship as an integrated part of your studies at AAU. you have to reapply for accommodation.

There is no deadline for applying in Aalborg. The International Accommodation Office works by the principle of "first received - first served".
If you have a disability, wish to accommodate close to a friend or a particular area etc. It is important to state that in the application form. We will do our best to meet your requirements though no guarantee is given.
Please note, you can have your classes in many different locations, and the IAO cannot guarantee an accommodation in the area you have classes.
Roof over head guarantee in Aalborg
Roof over head guarantee is provided by the AKU, which is an association for cooperation between the collegiums in Aalborg. You can also apply for an accommodation by the AKU. Please note, when renting an accommodation from the AKU it is unfurnished, without internet, maintenance(painting when departing) and electricity included. The application and contract is done directly with them.
